I am always thankful for God's faithfulness to continue to gift others with the ability to communicate clearly.

Thanks for posting the link! I am currently studying Galatians 5:16. The post was very timely!

What a lot of people think of as encouragement, I would call holy cheerleading - it sure sounds encouraging, may even excite us, but it doesn't really help the game all that much.

What encourages me is to know that I am not alone in the Christian struggle, and that is how I try to encourage others. How many of us reduce our testimony to the story about how we got justified? Our testimony ought to include the living record of our struggles day by day, because scripture tells us plainly that we overcome the accuser by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11).

It is imperative, I think, therefore to testify against the accusations of the that accuser, to testify against the whispers that haunt our faith - with the record of our struggle - our testimony - so that we do not neglect what God has shown to be effective.

Thanks for the Link M.
