Happiness is

Thunderstorms in the morning. A brief rain shower. Looking to the east to see the tight towering CU, its edges glinting with sunlight. Remembering the first commandment of chasing.

THOU SHALT NOT CHASE MORNING CONVECTION

It is also looking at two days in a row of Moderate Risk Outlooks. YEEE-OWWW!

Happiness is: looking at the GOLF BALL size hail stone in our freezer (retreived at 3:00 a.m.) and knowing that God is ALWAYS in control of our lives and property!

Was a rather sleepless night for me--I never worry or get frantic, but I have a deep abiding respect for my native state's weather. "Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping..."

This morning I was reading Psalm 139, and verse 14b says:

Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

I can't wait to see those works on the plains in May. Including any and all large hail stones. I think of the plague of hail in Egypt and wonder what the sky might've looked like. I don't recall reading anything about "greenish tints".

As a matter of fact, I referenced the plagues this a.m. while marveling at our little chunk of ice with our oldest daugher.

BTW, there are most likely MORE hail dings on my husband's truck (and my van) now. Such is life in America--store your worthless junk in the garage and leave your several thousand dollar vehicles in the driveway! :-)

One more thing!

Do I need to be 'worried' about my oldest daughter--she ASKED to watch "Twister" last week as the season's first 'severe' storm approached!!

And of course, me being a native Okie and 'adaptable' home schooling mom I said 'yes!'

Does this mean she may acquire a desire to CHASE those things? Please say "no". :-)

If she comes home and tells you she just punched the core, you might have reason for worry. *grin*

Well, I don't know what UCs are, but I sure do love thunderstorms! I want to get a gazebo made mostly out of windows so that I can sit in the middle of a thunderstorm! Hey, now that you are an ARCHITECT maybe you could design one for me! ;o)
